Suryakumar Yadav has been named the men’s T20I cricketer of the year for the second consecutive year. Following a stellar 2023 season in which he finished as the highest run-scorer among Full Member nations.
The 31-year-old Indian batsman had a remarkable year, scoring 733 runs in 17 T20I innings at an average of 48.86. He hit five half-centuries and two centuries, including a 56-ball 100 against South Africa.
Suryakumar also captained the Indian T20I side in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya. He led India to a 4-1 series win against Australia at home and a 1-1 draw against South Africa.

New Zealand batsman Rachin Ravindra has been named the men’s emerging player of the year. Following a remarkable breakout year in which he excelled at the 2023 ODI World Cup.
The 23-year-old all-rounder had a stellar 2023, scoring 820 runs in 25 ODIs and picking up 18 wickets at 46.61. He also made significant contributions in T20Is, scoring 91 runs in 12 matches and taking five wickets.
Ravindra’s performances at the World Cup were particularly impressive. He opened the batting for New Zealand and amassed 578 runs in ten innings at an average of 64.22. He scored two fifties and three centuries, finishing fourth in the overall run-scoring charts behind Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Quinton de Kock.
These exceptional performances earned Ravindra the coveted emerging player award, beating out stiff competition from South Africa’s Gerald Coetzee, Sri Lanka’s Dilshan Madushanka, and India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal.
